Who we are
LANDORA GLOBAL TECHNOLOGIES LTD (“Landora”) decides how and why the information described here is used, and is responsible for it. Registered address: 391, BISHOP MIKE OKORONKWO CLOSE, GWARINPA, ABUJA, FCT, NIGERIA. Privacy contact: [email protected].
Who this notice is for
People and organisations who apply to become a Landora partner (Independent Agent / Marketer, Property Professional, Real Estate Business, Developer, Large Organisation, or Hospitality Provider). You do not need to submit identity documents to browse, save properties or send enquiries.
What we ask for
We request documents based on your partner category, the information you provide, and any specific reviewer requests. Your application clearly identifies what is Required, Required only if a condition applies, Optional, or Requested by a reviewer. Examples of the core documents normally required for each category are:
- Independent Agent / Marketer (Explorer): a valid government-issued ID.
- Property Professional: a valid government-issued ID and a relevant academic or professional qualification.
- Real Estate Business: company registration (CAC or equivalent) and the ID of a director or authorised representative.
- Developer: company registration, the ID of a director or authorised representative, a company profile or development portfolio, and authority to market a development.
- Large Organisation (Enterprise): organisation registration, the ID of an authorised representative, and proof of that person’s authority.
- Hospitality Provider (Stay Partner): the ID of the owner or representative, and proof of ownership or management authority over the accommodation.
We also use the details on your Landora account (name, email address, phone number, country) and, for organisations, the organisation details you enter. Individual Explorer and Professional applicants, and individual Stay Partners, are asked to capture a photograph through their device camera for human comparison with their identification. There is a documented alternative review process for applicants who cannot use a camera. Organisations are not asked to take a photograph of the company. Depending on the category and answers, additional documents such as professional licences, authority to represent a company, or relevant company registrations may become required.
Why we use it
- to check who you are and that you can act for the organisation or property you represent;
- to decide whether to approve your partner application, and to ask you for corrections;
- to prevent impersonation and fraud, keep a record of our decisions, and handle disputes or legal requests.
Legal basis (Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023): Landora processes the information needed to assess a partner application and take steps at the applicant's request before a partner agreement, under section 25(1)(b)(i) of the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023. We also use proportionate verification and audit information to prevent impersonation and fraud where legitimate interests under section 25(1)(b)(v) do not override the applicant's rights, and comply with applicable legal obligations where identified. We do not generate biometric templates or conduct automated face recognition; any processing classified as sensitive personal data requires a separate lawful condition under section 30.
Approving a partner application does not verify every property you list, and it is separate from paying for a subscription.
How decisions are made
An authorised Landora reviewer looks at your documents and decides. We do not use automated decision-making, face recognition, biometric templates or “liveness” checks. If a photograph is compared with your ID, a person does it visually. You can ask for a decision to be reviewed by contacting us.
Who can see your documents
The documents are made available in Landora only to you and authorised reviewers, while infrastructure providers process them to operate the service. Your documents are never shown on public profiles or listings. We use service providers to run Landora: Clerk (sign-in), Cloudflare R2 (private document storage) and Render (application hosting and database). These providers may process data outside Nigeria. Safeguards for those transfers: Landora restricts access using authorised roles, private document storage, HTTPS, short-lived signed links and access logs. Clerk, Cloudflare and Render publish data-processing and security terms; their contractual safeguards and the specific circumstances of international processing are assessed under sections 41 to 43 of the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, including transfers necessary for the partner service you request where that ground applies. Landora does not treat a foreign storage location as automatically adequate. For details of our current providers or transfers, contact [email protected]. We share information with authorities only where the law requires it.
How we protect it
- Documents are stored in private storage. They can only be opened through links that expire within minutes, issued after we check who is asking. Every request for such a link is recorded (who asked, for which document, when).
- We accept only PDF, JPEG, PNG and WebP files within a size limit, and we check that each file really is the type it claims to be.
- We do not currently scan uploaded files for viruses or other malware. Please upload only the documents we ask for, from a device you trust.
How long we keep it
Landora deletes documents in a regular clean-up that it runs itself; a document becomes due for deletion at the point below and is deleted at the next clean-up after that.
- Uploads that were started but never finished cannot be used and are deleted at the next clean-up.
- Applications you start but do not submit: documents become due for deletion after 90 days without activity.
- Rejected applications: documents become due for deletion 180 days after the decision.
- Documents you replace: due for deletion 30 days after your application is decided.
- Approved partners: documents are kept while you are a Landora partner. After a partnership ends: After a partner relationship ends, Landora's policy is to review and arrange deletion of the identity evidence within 180 days, unless a documented legal hold, fraud investigation, dispute or applicable legal obligation requires longer. This is handled through an operator-managed process, not an automatic scheduled purge. Contact [email protected] to request an earlier review.
- A record that a document existed and of our decisions (without the document itself) is kept for our records. Documents involved in a dispute, fraud investigation or legal request may be kept until that matter is closed.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your information, to restrict or object to its use, or to withdraw consent where we rely on it. Contact [email protected]. We will respond within the time the law requires. Some records may have to be kept for legal reasons; we will tell you if so. You can also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).
